Dr Anjulika Salhan, a Director at Birmingham-based award-winning accountancy practice, Salhan Accountants, has been shortlisted for the inaugural English Women’s Awards.
Announced as a finalist under the Services to Accounting and Finance category at the 2018 awards, Anjulika has been recognised by the judges for her influence in the sector and her success as a business leader.
This is the first time this competition has been held and Anjulika was chosen via a popular public vote for her excellence in her professional field.
Speaking about her selection, Anjulika said: “I am truly honoured to be recognised in the first year of these important new awards.
“This year we have already celebrated 100 years of Women’s Suffrage so it only seems right to me that today’s female leaders get the recognition they deserve and I am very excited to be a finalist in this category, which recognise the years of work put into Salhan Accountants by the team and me.”
Anjulika and Salhan Accountants are no stranger to accolades, having previously won the Firm of the Year in the Midlands category of the British Accountancy Awards 2016, which they were shortlisted again in the following year.
She will find out if she has been successful at an awards ceremony due to take place on 7 June at Athena Leicester.
“Everybody at Salhan Accountants has their fingers crossed that I can take home the trophy on the night, but it is wonderful to even be nominated,” added Anjulika.
