Midlands accountant named as the winner of the first English Women’s Awards

Dr Anjulika Salhan, a Director at award-winning practice, Salhan Accountants, has been declared a winner at the inaugural English Women’s Awards.

Anjulika was honoured in the Services to Accounting and Finance Award category at the awards for her success as a leading female business leader and impact on the profession.

Initially chosen by a popular public vote, Anjulika is the first woman ever to win the award, which recognises excellence in the field of accountancy and finance.

Celebrating her win, Anjulika said: “I am truly blown away by this honour. To be recognised nationally for my work in the sector and my support of businesses in the Midlands and beyond means a lot to me.

“However, thanks must also go to our clients and my team, who have been behind me all the way. I hope that my achievement will inspire other women to take up a career in accountancy and one day lead their own business.”

Salhan Accountants are no stranger to accolades, having previously won the Firm of the Year in the Midlands category of the British Accountancy Awards 2016, which they were shortlisted in again last year.
